Everything in the Homestedt Antiques collection was sourced from rural barns, markets, and dealers across the North East of the United States, England, and Sweden, the same regions that have inspired much of what Homestedt does. About this piece

Cookrite stoneware was produced for the working American kitchen, practical, durable, and unpretentious. Deeper than the shallow version, this bowl would have been used for mixing, proving dough, and storing. Its simple, honest form has aged beautifully. A piece that looks as at home on a table today as it did a century ago.

Condition

Good antique condition. Shows natural age-related patina and wear consistent with decades of kitchen use. No chips or cracks.

Care & display

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Not suitable for dishwasher or microwave. Handle with care, old ceramics are more fragile than modern pieces. Display on open shelving or a kitchen counter where the character of the piece can be appreciated.
