Why it's here

Most wine glasses are too tall and too thin for the kind of meals we like to host. They tip in casual hands and feel formal in a way that doesn't match how anyone actually eats anymore. This one is shorter and steadier.

The hammered finish catches light unevenly across the surface, the way old hand-blown glass does. The green is a color we associate with the timeless glassware of rural homes — pieces that earned their place on a table because they looked right there, and stayed in use for generations. Designed in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, by a small studio drawing on classic rural design and the colors that show up in nature.

What you're getting

A wine glass at a confident, useful size: 8.75" tall, 3" across at the bowl. The tinted green is in the glass itself, not painted, so it won't fade or chip. The glass is sturdier than it looks; we've found these handle the casual rotations of a working kitchen better than thinner alternatives.

Care: Hand wash recommended. Dishwasher safe on the top rack if you're careful, though hand washing preserves the finish longer.
