Rather than using the usual truffle-derived ingredients, a special mix that combines salt and fresh black truffle pieces has been used. This mixture is prepared just a few days before shipping from Italy and it's processed within a few days of arrival in the US. The result is a consistently balanced, not overwhelming truffle flavor, and a salami that is easier to digest.
