Everything in the Homestedt Antiques collection was sourced from rural barns, markets, and dealers across the North East of the United States, England, and Sweden, the same regions that have inspired much of what Homestedt does. About this piece

A good, substantial stoneware pitcher, the right size for water, milk, cider, or whatever the table requires. American stoneware pitchers of this period were made to work, and this one has the honest, simple form and warm aged surface that speaks to a long life of daily use. Still entirely functional, and considerably more beautiful than anything made to replace it.

Condition

Good antique condition. Shows natural age-related patina and glaze variation consistent with age and use. No chips or cracks.

Care & display

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Not suitable for dishwasher or microwave. Handle with care, old ceramics are more fragile than modern pieces. Display on open shelving or a kitchen counter where the character of the piece can be appreciated.
