A matched pair of olive wood salad servers — a deep spoon and a wide fork, joined at the handles by a strand of raffia. The classic shape, the right weight, the kind of pair you toss with one motion at the table.

Why it's here: Olive wood is one of our favourite materials in the kitchen and dining room. The tight grain makes it tough and naturally resilient to bacteria, not to mention beautiful — every piece is unique and handmade, with patterning that runs differently through each cut. We source ours from European olive trees whose branches are pruned each year as part of the agricultural cycle of harvesting olives, which makes it one of the most sustainable hardwoods you can put in a kitchen.

What you're getting: One olive wood salad spoon and one matching salad fork. Made in Germany.

Care: Do not put in the dishwasher. Hand wash only. If the wood starts to look dry, rub a little olive oil into the grain with a paper or cotton towel — the lustre will come right back.
