Description
The utensil pot — bigger than a pencil pot, sized for the working end of the kitchen. A fox (the bright-eyed visitor to the hedgerow, alert and slightly amused) sits beside the stove holding wooden spoons, spatulas, the whisk you reach for daily.
Doubles beautifully as a vase. Lift the spoons out, drop in a fistful of garden flowers, and the whole counter softens.
Dimensions: Approx. 11 cm tall
Why it's here: Quail Ceramics has been part of our co-owner Tom's life from the very beginning — they're designed in Stoke-on-Trent, the English pottery town where he grew up. Every piece is hand-painted, and none of them are made just to look at: they're all built around a job — a salt shaker, a jug, a pencil pot, a vase, an egg cup. Quail is our favorite easy way to bring a little rural whimsy into a room. A fox among the wooden spoons — that small pop of personality on an otherwise ordinary surface is exactly the point.
What you're getting: One hand-painted fox utensil pot.
Care: Hand-painted stoneware. Dishwasher safe; we'd still recommend the top rack and a gentle cycle for the long-term life of the painted detail. Not suitable for microwave or oven use.
