Why it's here

White on white is the hardest pattern to get right. There's nowhere for a mistake to hide, no contrast to forgive an uneven stitch. When it works, it works quietly: a texture you notice on second look, a softness that sits comfortably in almost any room.

This pillow is designed in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, by a small studio drawing on the embroidery traditions of rural America and the wild botanicals that show up along old farm fences. The pattern reads as flowers, but loosely — the kind of thing that looks like it might have been stitched by hand on a winter afternoon.
