About this piece

Wall-mounted candlestick sconces were the standard supplementary lighting of domestic interiors before electricity, positioned to cast light where it was needed and to reflect off walls and ceilings. This matched pair has the warm, even patina of pieces that have spent a long time together in the same room. Sold together as found.

Condition

Good antique condition. Natural brass patina consistent with age. Both pieces structurally sound and well-matched.

Mount on a wall using appropriate fixings. Use with standard taper candles. Never leave burning candles unattended. Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth.
