Description

A cotton dinner napkin, hand block-printed with a small mustard floral motif on a natural ground. Sold individually so you can build the set in the size you want.

Dimensions: 18" H x 18" W. 100% cotton.

Why it's here

Block printing is one of the oldest methods of putting pattern onto cloth, predating the printing press by centuries. Carved wooden blocks, dipped in dye, pressed by hand. The patterns that emerge have a softness that machine printing can't quite replicate. Slight registration shifts, varying ink density, the occasional half-print where the hand pressed lighter. These aren't flaws. They are the hand of the maker, still visible.

Designed in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, by a small studio drawing on classic, timeless rural design and the wildflowers that bloom along Pennsylvania farm roads in late summer. The mustard pattern is scaled to the intimacy of a dinner napkin, the kind of detail that quietly anchors a table without drawing attention to itself.

What you're getting

An 18" square cotton napkin, generously sized to sit across a lap or fold neatly under a place setting. The natural ground takes the mustard print warmly, settling into a palette that works alongside wood, ceramic, and wildflowers in a vase. Like all good cotton textiles, these soften with use.

Sold individually. Mix and match across the table, or build a matching set as you go.

Care: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Iron warm if you prefer crisp edges. As with all block-printed textiles, the dye may soften slightly over time. This is part of how they age.
