A good tea towel does two jobs. It dries the dishes, and it makes the kitchen feel a little more thought-through. Folded over the handle of an oven, draped on a chair back, balled up next to the sink — it's a small piece of textile that lives in plain sight, so it might as well be one worth looking at.

This towel is designed in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, by a small studio drawing on the rural embroidery traditions of the region and the wild chamomile that grows along the edges of Pennsylvania fields. The pattern is intentionally restrained — small stitched wildflowers in a soft, earthy palette — so it works alongside almost anything else in the kitchen.
