Cast Iron Boot Pull - Antique Brown

Description

The plain bootjack, in cast iron, finished in antique brown. No animal silhouette, no scrollwork — just the form, stripped to its essentials. A V-shaped notch for the heel, two short legs to keep it level, and enough weight to stay put on the floor.

Step on one end with the foot that's already free, slide the boot of the other foot into the notch, and lift. The boot comes off without bending.

Why it's here: Some pieces of farmhouse equipment are honest enough in their form that ornament would be a distraction. The plain cast iron bootjack is one of them — the same shape a blacksmith would have hammered out a hundred and fifty years ago, doing the same job, in the same spot by the back door.
